A Long story, short.
Gmaids originally started in 2004 as BioClean Maid, during our other ventures as a part time thing. How did we got into the cleaning business?, we’ll we had to eat, so we started working with a cleaning company for 3 months (that we wont say the name just to keep the fires down) that was paying $5.15/hr….so by the end if the day we’ll make $50 dollars together and you know this picture is wrong, you can´t make a living on that. So really frustrated about the money, the schedule, the amount of work and the treatment to us employees (slaves), we decided to start with BioClean Maid in November 2004.
In 2007 after many mistakes, hundreds of business books, tapes, tears, and cleaning homes sometimes without a car, the company started to get some buzz by satisfied customers and thank God, DailyCandy.com who featured us in their newsletter this dream finally took off.
Why Gmaids, why not? Creating a cool & friendly cleaning company.
We decided to create something worth doing, something that will make customers really happy and make their lives hassle-free, something that will remove the pains of traditional-brick and mortar companies, that´s why customers can book and make payments online, send us SMS and talk to humans that care.
Not being consistent. Another pain we removed.
That’s what we hear constantly…how did we tackle this?…we’ll by looking how the other companies do it wrong. We decided not to hire just anybody, but to be very selective and hire only the best (a promise we make to ourselves), not only the best cleaning teams, but interviewing them deeply to find a ”working brain” and passionate servant who will match the company’s way of doing business …belived it or not most companies hire the cheapest laborers out there and try to train them:(…at Gmaids our teams are Certified, yes it’s like going to an Institute paying money for them to teach you, but all in-house. If the pass all the tests, actual hands-on training and deliver our promise to you they get to stay!.
Really Cares. Really Gmaids.
Everybody says this, but almost nobody cares. How did we tackle this? we’ll by running our whole operation in a sustainable matter, by sending our teams directly from their home to yours, thus reducing 40% of emmisions, by not taking anymore paper checks and by running this like an online business. Besides this we implemented a charity program which you will be part of, which donates a percentage of every invoice to hungry and poor kids in South America towards daily lunch. Our goal this year is to donate 1000 to 1200 lunches.
What’s next?
